Before the Appointment

Here are a few tips to help make this a pleasurable experience for you and your pet:

  • As soon as you schedule your appointment, you will be sent a new pet registration form as well as an estimate of the services requested. Please have the registration form filled out and review the estimate prior to the visit. Any questions or concerns will be addressed at this time.
  • Please have a detailed a copy of your pets' medical records at the initial visit. This allows Dr. Perkins to become familiar with any previous medical issues.
  • If you have a cat or kitten, please make sure they are easily accessible; a bathroom or other small enclosed area may be the best place to keep them until appointment time. This should be a comfortable experience for everyone so please pick an area in your home where you and your pet will feel at ease.
  • Dr. Perkins allows enough time to provide a thorough examination of your pet. A typical single animal housecall visit may last anywhere from thirty minutes to an hour, so make sure you allot yourself the same amount of time.
  • Because your time is valuable, Dr. Perkins will do everything possible to be prompt for scheduled appointments. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as heavy traffic, you will be contacted regarding expected delays and estimated time of arrival.
  • Please make cancellations twenty-four hours prior to scheduled appointment. If cancellations are made the same day of your pet's appointment or if you are not home during the scheduled time, you will be charged a housecall fee.
